STROH 40
The lower-strength sibling to the Austrian icon that is STROH 80, this is nevertheless a powerful Inländer rum, and a versatile cocktail ingredient. A unique dark spiced rum with plenty of history, and plenty of flavour.
As an Inländer Rum, STROH is required to not only be produced from sugarcane, but also to be distilled and bottled in Austria. STROH is made from sugarcane molasses, distilled into a high-percentage spirit and then refined with essences and aromas based on Austrian tradition, drawing on the brand’s secret recipe.
This is then presented in STROH’s distinctive brown bottle, modelled on the hip flasks worn by hunters in the countryside during winter.

This might be half the strength of the iconic STROH 80, but it’s nevertheless an intense spirit, and an excellent choice for mixing, whether it’s in traditional hot drinks in the wintertime, or more contemporary summer cocktails and tiki creations.
