KOSKENKORVA VODKA

Key Ingredients:
Finnish Saana & Elmeri barley, unfiltered pure spring water.
Sustainability:
Koskenkorva’s bioenergy plant is especially designed to use the barley husks that are left over from the distillation, as fuel for steam generation. The bio-energy power plant is the first of its kind in Finland. The Koskenkorva plant has a 99.9% recycling rate (don’t worry, back in the village they’re still working on that 0.1%) and was the first spirit to win the Green Company of the Year Award.

O.P. ANDERSON AQUAVIT

O.P. Anderson is a grain distillate, with an alcohol strength of 40% and seasoned with caraway, aniseed and fennel. After distillation, it matures in large oak casks for six months.

Sustainability:

SAINT JAMES RHUM

Martinique, Caribbean
Key Ingredients:
Fresh pure cane juice.
Sustainability:
Saint James initiated a green policy in 1963 and have now reached a positive carbon footprint, which means that the production process creates more energy than it uses.
After extracting the juice from the sugar cane, the dry bagasse is used to fuel the boiler. Waste water is treated in a biogas plant, and Saint James do not use insecticide in their fields.
