WORLD COCKTAIL DAY

Happy World Cocktail Day – a time for thinking about cocktails, making cocktails and, best of all, drinking cocktails! To help you celebrate, we have placed together a selection of lip-smacking drinks to kickstart your evening

Clover club

INGREDIENTS
50ml Martin Miller’s Original Gin
25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
20ml Beso agave syrup
10ml dry vermouth
1 egg white or 1/3rd of a dropper (approx. 3ml) of Ms. Better’s Miraculous Foamer Bitters (for an egg-free alternative)
fresh raspberries

METHOD
Muddle 4 raspberries. Add all ingredients including muddled raspberries to a shaker and shake vigorously. Add ice to the shaker and then shake again. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with raspberries.

Steam & Smoke

INGREDIENTS
20ml Koskenkorva Sauna Barrel
20ml Sweet Vermouth
15ml Triple Sec
dash Angostura Bitters
dash sugar
orange twist to garnish

METHOD
Measure ingredients in a mixing glass and stir. Strain into a Coupette. Garnish with a twist of orange peel.

Toucan Tony

INGREDIENTS
50ml Mezcal Madre
10ml Luxardo Aperitivo Italian
25ml pineapple juice
15ml cinnamon syrup

METHOD
Shake all ingredients with ice and serve over crushed ice. Garnish with fun.

Negrense Sour

INGREDIENTS
45ml Don Papa 7 Year Old
22.5ml fresh lime juice
5ml simple syrup
2 drops hopped grapefruit bitters
1 egg white or 1/3 of a dropper (approx. 3ml) of Ms. Better’s Miraculous Foamer Bitters (for an egg-free alternative) lime twist to garnish

METHOD
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake without ice for 10-12 seconds. Add ice and shake for another 10 seconds before straining over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime twist.

Tequila Martinez

INGREDIENTS
50ml Fortaleza Reposado
20ml Sweet Vermouth
5ml Maraschino Liqueur
dash of Angostura Bitters

METHOD
Stir over ice, strain out the ice and serve in a Martini glass. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry.

Puerto and tonic

INGREDIENTS
50ml Puerto de Indias Strawberry Gin
premium tonic water
freshly sliced strawberries and a lime wedge to garnish

METHOD
Pour the gin over plenty of cubed ice in a Copa glass. Top up with tonic water and garnish with sliced strawberries and a freshly squeezed lime wedge.
