The range consists of two genevers, Old Duff Genever 40% abv and Old Duff 100% Maltwine Genever with the Seal of Schiedam, one of only three such genevers in the world.

Old Duff Genever (40% ABV)

Every element of Old Duff Genever production occurs in Holland, a rarething for genever nowadays. Produced in Schiedam, the capital of genever, Old Duff Genever is made with rye and barley, triple pot distilled, and with just a hint of six botanicals: juniper, orange and lemon peel, coriander, star anise and liquorice. The quintessential genever for both classic and modern cocktails.

Profile: Brown bread seasoned with white and black pepper, balsa wood and anise, leading to peppery rye notes on the palate with coriander spice, pine and a hint of liquorice.

Old Duff 100% Maltwine Genever with the Seal of Schiedam (45% ABV)

To carry the Seal of Schiedam, the rarest style, a genever needs to be made entirely from maltwine and be produced using only pot stills in an approved Dutch distillery. Old Duff Genever 100% Maltwine is made by triple-distilling rye & barley in a potstill with minute dashes of juniper and English Bramling hops; nothing else is added but water. As this was the most prevalent style during genever’s heyday in the 1800s, it’s the ultimate choice for recreating the classic cocktails of the time, such as a Martinez.

Profile: Fresh brown bread, clove, black pepper and sappy pine aromas bolstered by nutmeg, piney hops and juniper.
