LUXURY IN EVERY SIP

Why Five Farms will make you think again about Irish Cream.
Think you know what Irish cream liqueur tastes like? It might be a festive favourite and popular nightcap over ice, but now there is a new luxurious option with the arrival of Five Farms Irish Cream to the UK.
The award winning drink is the only true ‘farm-to-table’ product in the category and has been crowned the world’s best Irish cream. Sourced entirely from beautiful County Cork, it is crafted only from single batches of fresh cream from five family-owned farms dotted along the Cork coast, combined with premium local Irish whiskey – 10 times more than any other similar drink.
The difference is all in the taste.
With 33 years experience, co founder Johnny Harte explains how he came up with the idea to create a premium drink that is a throwback to traditional times – and a celebration of all things Cork.
“I wanted to make a high quality, premium liqueur, but I wanted to go back to the land, back to where cream liqueurs were created in Ireland a long time ago.
“The conditions in County Cork made it ideal. There is a micro-climate there, as it is where the North Atlantic drift or Gulf Stream first meets the Irish coastline. Atlantic drift meets the Gulf Stream. That means in Ireland it’s where most grass is grown for the longest part of the year and the cows can stay on the grass for longer, too.
“Milk and cream lustre comes from the grass the cows eat. Five Farms is the only cream liqueur in the world that comes from cows fed exclusively on grass.
“I also wanted to go back to the origins of Irish cream and use and use the most Irish whiskey in the drink as that no longer happens elsewhere. The result is a truly robust Irish cream that people will taste the difference in when they try it.
“It celebrates the culture of farming in Ireland, the dedication of the farmers and that’s why we called it Five Farms.”
As well as standing out for its taste, Five Farms comes in a bottle unlike any other liqueur on the shelf – a representation of a traditional 1900s cream container.
Johnny explains: “Traditionally on a farm, the cream was separated from the milk and placed in a different container. We have made the Five Farms bottle a representation of that container, to reflect its authenticity.”
