BEMBOM RUM
DO BRASIL
A rum to accompany the music-filled good times – where like minds meet like minds. BemBom is a copper pot distilled sugar cane white rum, or Cachaça made in small batches on a sustainably-run farm.
BemBom is hand made in small batches by a family of 4th generation farmers at the Fazenda Mãe De Ouro (Mother of Gold Farm) in the Minas Gerais state in southeast Brasil.
The neighbouring town of São José da Barra was the site of one of the country’s pioneering hydroelectric plants in the 1960s, which provided clean renewable energy to the region.
This spirit of sustainability is echoed in BemBom’s production, from repurposing discarded sugar cane leaves as fertiliser, to using sugarcane biomass to steam-power the stills, and planting trees to offset carbon emissions.
Hand-cut, unburnt sugarcane is milled to extract their green juices, which are then fermented within 12 hours to retain freshness and herbal character. The fermented juice is then distilled in a traditional copper pot still, where Master Distiller Gustavo Nahor only selects the heart (middle cut) of each distillation.
The rum is then finally aged in American white oak barrels for a year, before being triple-filtered and bottled.
White sugar cane, yeast, water.
A Brasillian rum to celebrate the good times, BemBom is perfect on the beach, backstage or at the bar.
Delivering flavours of vanilla, banana and pepper spice – it’s perfect for mixing, and works superbly with fresh apple juice or cola, or try in a cool refreshing ‘Bombeirinho’, mixed with cassis and fresh lime.
