CARIEL BATCH
BLENDED VODKA
Respectful of Sweden’s longstanding distilling heritage, Cariel Batch Blended Vodka is crafted by blending natural spring water with a distillate of Swedish winter wheat and barley.
With depth of character unusual in a category which often strives for neutrality, this vodka is impressively smooth and full-bodied, with a gentle sweetness.
Bottled with a white gloss finish to represent the blanket of snow which protects the wheat throughout the winter months, Cariel Batch Blended Vodka is an elegant and contemporary proposition.
Cariel’s master blender Peter Carlson selects the finest Swedish Winter wheat and barley available from the Swedish Farmer’s Association (SFA).
Grown in South-West Sweden, the grains are planted in the autumn before being harvested in the springtime, and then distilled separately in small batch copper pot stills
The two distillates are then transported to the town of Motala on the shores of Lake Vättern. It’s here that the wheat and barley distillates are blended together with glacial water in the house’s proprietary ‘batch blending’ process. Lastly, a final tasting is conducted before the spirit is signed off for bottling.
