CÓDIGO 1530 REPOSADO
Combining the purity of Código 1530’s Blanco, with the elegance of their aging process, this handcrafted reposado is made with 100% Blue agave from Los Bajos.
A resting time of around six months in premium Napa Valley Cabernet French white oak barrels softens the spirit’s profile and imparts subtle notes evocative of whisky.
Código 1530’s strict production methods means that only fully mature agave plants aged for at least 7 years, and which achieve the required Brix level of measured sugar content are used to produce Código 1530 tequilas.
Collecting just a quarter of the juice from the first press, around 10kg of agave piñas are required to produce just one litre of the final tequila.
The agave juice, fresh water filtered through the region’s volcanic soils and organic yeast from a local village bakery come together in the family’s proprietary fermentation process.
Aged ‘to taste’ rather than being strictly defined by time, this rests for an average of six months in the house’s signature style, using Napa Cabernet Oak wine barrels, which have been charred by hand on-site at the distillery. This imparts subtle layers of flavour and a lightness of natural colour to the rested tequila.
100% Blue Weber agave, natural spring water, Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels.
A satisfying balance of agave-driven flavours marry with the toasted characteristics from the charred wood to create a spirit to sip and savour.
Expect bright, sweet agave notes enhanced by vanilla, toasted caramel and a whiff of cocoa powder to finish.
