CÓDIGO 1530 ROSA
Unique to the house, Código 1530 Rosa marries the unique and distinctive characteristics of tequila and fine wine, resulting in this beautifully different tequila.
A short resting time of 1 month in un-charred Napa Valley Cabernet white oak barrels imparts a natural soft pink colour to this 100% agave tequila and contributes to its uniquely floral flavour profile.
Bound by their strict rules of production, Código 1530 only use fully mature agave plants aged for at least 7 years, and which achieve the required Brix level of measured sugar content.
Collecting just a quarter of the juice from the first press, around 10kg of agave piñas are required to produce just one litre of final spirit.
The agave juice, fresh water filtered through the region’s volcanic soils and organic yeast from a local village bakery come together in the family’s proprietary fermentation process.
Finally, the tequila is matured in the house’s signature style using Napa Cabernet White Oak wine barrels. The Rosa is aged for 1 month in the un-charred oak, allowing the spirit to interact directly with the wine-seasoned wood. This process imparts a natural light pink colour and nuances of Cabernet to create a uniquely interesting tequila.
