All of the ingredients used to produce Copal Tree Distillery’s rums are sourced from its estate, from heirloom sugarcane, to pure canopy water captured from the rainforest, and local yeast, all the way to the additional organic cacao that goes into its Cacao Rum.
These outstanding spirits are not only finely crafted using innovative techniques, but are clean and environmentally friendly too.
Copal Tree Distillery is tucked away in 22,000 acres of protected rainforest in southern Belize, founded on a passion for conservation and sustainability, and the courage to change standards. It’s located alongside Copal Tree Lodge, a luxury eco destination, and Copal Tree Farms, with its production of sugarcane, cacao and coffee.
In addition to its organic certification, and the use of non-GMO ingredients, Copal Tree Distillery is zero impact, using sustainable, regenerative biomass for power. It also produces no toxic run off that is typical of some rum distilling practices. These rums are as sustainable as they get.
