This is Matusalem’s oldest and most luxurious expression – an ultra-premium Solera-aged rum, bottled with rums aged for an average of 23 years.

PRODUCTION

Made to the same family recipe and process for 140 years, Matusalem’s Gran Reserva 23 is a triple-distilled and double-filtered molasses-based rum, which is patiently and methodically matured and blended in the house’s proprietary Solera-style cask aging system.

A combination of American and French white oak barrels is used, some of which are ex-Bourbon casks. Meticulous in their craft, barrels can be toasted or charred to different levels to achieve different flavours and aromas.

The house’s Master Blender oversees the careful blending of the rums to create the perfect balance, aging for an average of 23 years.

Matusalem Gran Reserva 23 is deep amber in colour, with a suave and mellow palate offering hints of honey, vanilla and dark molasses. This is a beautiful rum, designed for leisurely sipping and savouring.
