Old Duff 100% Maltwine Genever with the Seal of Schiedam

OLD DUFF 100% MALTWINE GENEVER WITH THE SEAL OF SCHIEDAM

The rarest style of genever, with only two others in existence, there’s no better way to recreate true classic cocktails.

PRODUCTION

To carry the Seal of Schiedam, a genever needs to be made entirely from maltwine, be produced using only pot stills in an approved Dutch distillery (there are only two), and have no neutral alcohol or other additives. This 100% maltwine style was the most prevalent during genever’s heyday in the 1800s.

The maltwine in question is produced using two-thirds rye and one-third malted barley, fermented for five days. The unfiltered whole-grain mash is then distilled three times in a pot still and perfected with masterful hints of both juniper and English Bramling hops.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Maltwine (rye and malted barley), with juniper and English Bramling hops.
