Spicy Margarita

Spicy Margarita
In the early 2000s, Julio Bermejo, the owner of Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco and creator of the Tommy’s Margarita, started infusing blanco tequila with habanero peppers. Later it evolved to the Spicy Margarita all over the world and has been evolving ever since.
It has now become a classic cocktail, that takes all the best from Mexico and puts it into a glass.
Spicy Margaritas are both savoury and sweet and pack the perfect spicy punch from the tabasco. A little heat never hurt anybody! Plus, they’re super easy to make and always a hit!

30ml Mundo tequila
20ml Triple Sec
30ml lime juice
20ml sugar
2 dashes of tabasco
Garnish: half of the rim covered with spicemix

Spice mix
3tblsp Lemon Pepper
2tblsp Amr. Cajun Spice
1tblsp fine salt

Start to garnish the rim of the glass by using a cut lime to wet half of the rim, then turn the glass into the *spice mix
Add all of the ingredients into a shaker, add ice cubes, shake well and strain into a coupe or martini glass. Can also be enjoyed over ice in a lowball glass for those hot summer days.
