A captivating, modern expression inspired by a traditional Mayan drink, XTA (pronounced ish-ta) is a uniquely flavoured liqueur. Crafted by blending rum with native Mexican ingredients including honey from the native Xtabentún flower, the result is a rich, naturally flavoured liqueur.
Casa d’Aristi are renowned for their sustainable production methods and close relationships with the local farming communities, and XTA is a perfect example of a handcrafted Mexican liqueur.
Green anise and honey from the native Xtabentún flower are blended together with local water, where a week-long fermentation process takes place. This is then added to pure-cane alcohol, before being filtered and bottled on site.
